The Goldenrod Gallery is a unique blend of gifts, custom framing and art prints. The shop, located in downtown Loup City, Nebraska, opened in 1995. In addition to carrying the largest selection of Boyds Bears in Nebraska, Seraphim Angels, Fenton, Crystal and Pottery from Poland, the Gallery represents many well-known artists including Terry Redlin, Thomas Kinkade, Tim Cox, Steve Hanks, Jesse Barnes, Judy Larson, Bev Doolittle and many Nebraska posters. Custom framing includes everything from prints, photos, and canvases to memorabilia, specializing in the crocheted family name plaques that have been a mainstay for the shop since its opening. Each name is hand-crocheted and is sure to become a family heirloom. These heirloom plaques are sent all over the United States and overseas.

Twenty years ago Vonnie Dzingle, the shop owner, developed a pattern for block crocheted letters and began framing family names for friends and family. She personally frames each of the hand-crocheted names using only acid free materials.

There are four styles of names to choose from along with your choice of mat and frame. The crochet thread is ecru color. The finished product is approximately 10" tall by 20" long depending on the length of the name.

“I consider it a privilege to be able to frame beautiful artwork and the handmade crochet doilies that have been so successful for over 20 years. I value the fact that I am able to pursue the things I love to do and earn a living at it. I am honored that these plaques will show-case the family names with pride and will hang in many homes for a lifetime.”

“I think you will agree that these Family Name Plaques will be one of your finest and truly unique handmade treasures that you will buy for yourself or as a gift.” Vonnie Dzingle
